KATE ABRAHAM -HOST/PRODUCER
Before moving out West to work on The Lab, Kate spent a couple of years in Toronto, working as a Writer for the Biography Channel. Her first dabble in the television industry was as a production runner for The Trisha Show in the UK ("think Jerry Springer, and then add Coronation Street accents"). She is originally from Cambridge, England and she came to Canada to write her MA thesis in 2004...and just hasn't gone home yet
MATT HARRIS - PRODUCER/HOST/EDITOR
Matt has been working with Leo for 3 years now. Previous to producing The Lab with Leo Laporte, Matt was the associate producer of Call For Help and the host/producer of Torrent on G4TechTV Canada. When he’s not busy Labbing it up, Matt enjoys cheering on the Bruins and Red Sox and almost never swears at the television.
SEAN CARRUTHERS - CONTRIBUTOR/CAMERA
Sean Carruthers has written about both technology and music for over a decade, and served as the Test Lab Editor for The Computer Paper and HUB Digital Living magazine. His writing has also been featured in The Globe and Mail, the Village Voice, allmusic.com, and other technology and music publications. In his off hours, Sean also works on the video podcast Lab Rats.
RYAN YEWELL - CONTRIBUTOR/CAMERA
Before joining Greedy Productions Ltd. (Lab with Leo's production company), Ryan's background was in Software Quality Assurance for Electronic Arts Canada, with a short stint managaging a startup post-secondary digital arts program. A recent Mac switcher, the vast majority of his computing days have been spent in Windows (and before that, DOS). Ryan is the presenter of "Yewell's Jewels", the regular free file segment on Lab, as well as the chase producer for the show.
